Welcome to the new Honda Civic Type R, an outstandingly powerful and stylish car. The Type R boasts a 2.0L VTEC turbocharged engine with a direct injection PGM-Fi fuel supply system. With a compression ratio of 9.8, the engine delivers a maximum power of 235 kW at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 420 Nm between 2,600 and 4,000 rpm. The 6-speed manual transmission and dual-axis McPherson strut front axle allow for an exhilarating driving experience.
The Civic Type R's adaptive suspension system and limited-slip differential ensure exceptional stability and control. The helical-type differential also supplies superb cornering performance. The dual-pinion variable-ratio electric power steering (EPS) offers quick and precise control, while the lightweight single-mass flywheel and rev-match control system deliver seamless gear changes. The exterior of the Civic Type R features a distinctive red Honda badge with a Type-R emblem and gloss black side sills. The gloss black wing spoiler with die-cast aluminium stays and exclusive front and rear bumpers with a rear diffuser supplies an aggressive look.
The centre-mounted, triple outlet exhaust with active exhaust valve and LED headlights with auto on/off complete the sporty aesthetic. Safety is a top priority, and the Civic Type R is equipped with numerous features such as an advanced compatibility engineering (ACE) body structure, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), and a rear-view camera. The vehicle stability assist (VSA), hill start aids (HSA), and agile handling assist (AHA) further enhance safety on the road.
