The BMW S 1000 R brings superbike DNA to the road. This dynamic Roadster combines 170 hp of pure power with agile handling, aggressive styling and advanced technology, giving you an exhilarating riding experience every time you twist the throttle.
The 999 cc four-cylinder engine delivers 125 kW (170 hp) at 11,000 rpm and 114 Nm of maximum torque at 9,250 rpm. With a ready-to-ride weight of 196 kg including the M package, the S 1000 R is built to deliver impressive sprint performance.
The S 1000 R is designed around precise, responsive handling. Its short secondary gear ratio gives the Roadster strong acceleration, while three lean-angle-dependent riding modes help keep the power under control.
The M Quick Action Throttle allows precise throttle control without requiring you to change your grip position, while optional Pro riding modes give you even greater control over the bike's systems.
The distinctive Splitface design and dual-flow LED headlights give the S 1000 R an unmistakable presence. Its compact rear, short number plate carrier and sporty proportions reinforce its dynamic Roadster character.
Choose from Blackstorm Metallic, Light White/M Motorsport or the ultra-dynamic Sport finish with Bluefire and Mugiallo Yellow details.
The S 1000 R comes with the M Quick Action Throttle as standard, while optional M equipment such as M Forged Wheels and the M Lightweight Battery allows you to further enhance the bike's performance.
For an even sportier experience, the optional Akrapovič titanium sports silencer adds a distinctive sound and aggressive look.
Despite its performance-focused character, the S 1000 R is also suited to longer rides. Its adjustable handlebar clamp and three available seat heights help you find a riding position that works for you, while options such as luggage equipment and navigation preparation make it ready for longer journeys.
