Taking an all-round look at the R 18 will reveal a variety of surprising features & functions, from its cantilever rear suspension to its open shaft-drive, not to mention its twin-Solex carburettor that’s borrowed from a BMW 2002 car, its invisible switchgear and mounted between its fork legs, a Bosch-inspired LED headlight straight out of the 1950s.
